Provincial exodus for Undas goes into high gear

The government, through its different arms such as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Land Transportation Office (LTO), is stern in ensuring the welfare of the public amid the nationwide celebration of All Saints’s Day. Early this morning, October 30, 2019, the MMDA administered an alcohol test on bus drivers in Araneta Bus Terminal to determine whether or not said wheelmen had consumed any alcoholic substance prior to driving their vehicles. The LTFRB, for its part, visited several land transportation terminals today to remind the transportation firms about the office’s policies in icing the safety of passengers. It also issued nearly 900 special permits to buses in keeping with the inrush of commuters into said transportation centers. The PNP and LTO, as their share in the move, have sent their respective men to said travel stations to provide assistance to the public. The collective effort of these government arms enshrines the state’s commitment in securing the welfare of the people.
