The Philippine National Police (PNP) will be stringent in implementing the community quarantine in Metro Manila.
After being criticized for the lax security on the first day of the community quarantine, PNP Deputy Chief for Operations, Police Lt. General Guillermo Eleazar explained that the implementation of rules on the first day has been lenient so as not to cause panic among people in Metro Manila.
Lt. Gen. Eleazar has assured that the PNP will follow community quarantine protocol.
The PNP has set up over 200 checkpoints in Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon to help prevent the spread of the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
