The crime rate in Metro Manila has decreased by 65 percent on the first week of enhanced community quarantine implementation.
National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Chief P/Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas disclosed 73 crimes have been recorded from March 15 to 20, compared to more than 200 in the same time last year.
The rate has declined particularly in focus crimes such as murder, homicide, theft, robbery, and physical injury.
Sinas said the drop in the number of crimes amid the enhanced community quarantine might be attributed to home quarantine. – Report from Patrick de Jesus
