Galvez says ECQ quarantine is effective according to experts from UP Research Institute; cites warning of Prof. Mahar Lagmay and Dr. Ted Herbosa that rate of new infection may increase if ECQ is immediately lifted in Manila and other places in the country

Galvez says other member agencies of IATF expected to formulate sector-specific plans, strategies, and targets to strengthen gov’t campaign against COVID-19. He reiterates data-sharing agreement between DLIG and LGUs amid efforts on contact tracing

LGUs are given directives to have regional and provincial cooperation to exchange best practices against COVID-19: Ang paglakas ng kapasidad ng ating mga LGUs at magkaroon sila ng health resiliency ang magigisng susi sa ating tagumpay

Galvez: Malaki ang naitulong ng targeted massive, expanded testing upang magkaroon ng isang holistic assessment ng ating public health situation base sa mga kompirmadong kaso

Sec Galvez says 52, 837 individuals have been tested and is expected to increase as more laboratories will be rotated nationwide. He adds 900,000 PCR test kits and 2 million rapid test kits soon to arrive in the next few days; 3,052 quarantine facilities have been established nationwide.
