Government prioritizes ‘Expanded Targeted Testing’; DOH return to work guidelines released

Malacañang clarified that “Expanded Targeted Testing” is one of the priorities of the government and it is part of the significant steps of authorities to control the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also made clear that the term “Expanded Targeted Testing” is more proper to use than mass testing.

In line with this, Sec. Roque disclosed the Department of Health (DOH)’s return to work guidelines such as the employer must ensure that the workspace is properly disinfected, ventilated and maintained, and proper visual reminders must be provided in the workplace.

Proper PPEs must also be worn based on their work-setting. Employers may adopt alternative working arrangements. They must enforce infection control procedures and promote physical and mental resilience among their staff.

The guidelines also indicated that expenses not covered by PhilHealth must be shouldered by the employer.
