MMDA suspends modified coding scheme

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has announced that the modified coding scheme will not yet be implemented on Monday, June 8.

According to the MMDA, the public should ignore the former announcement since the modified coding scheme will be suspended until further notice due to the lack of transportation under the general enhanced community quarantine.

“Marami pa rin po tayong mga kababayan ang nahihirapang sumakay under GCQ. Kaya po kami sa MMDA, ayaw po muna naming bigyan ng dagdag isipin ang mga motorist. (Many of our citizens are having a hard time commuting under GCQ. That’s why we do not want to give motorists more things to think about),” MMDA Assistant Secretary Celine Pialago pointed out. – Report from Mica Joson
