‘Paolo’, LPA bring more rains over most parts of PH Friday: PAGASA

MANILA— It will be a rainy Friday as two weather disturbances are affecting the country, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

In its latest advisory, PAGASA said typhoon “Paolo” was last observed 870 kilometers east of Tuguegaro City, Cagayan with maximum winds of 130 km/h near the center Friday morning. It is forecast to move north at 15 km/h.

Also, a low pressure area (LPA) was spotted at 135 km west of Coron, Palawan. Both weather disturbances will bring scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms in the Visayas, the regions of Bicol, Mimaropa, Caraga, and Zamboanga peninsula.

“Paolo” is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Sunday (Oct. 22) morning.

Metro Manila, the rest of Mindanao, Central Luzon and Calabarzon will also experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Coastal waters will be moderate to rough. (Lily O. Ramos/PNA)
