MV Vienna crew on hold departure order

The 20 crew members of the Hong Kong Cargo Vessel MV Vienna have been issued a hold departure order. The crew members of the cargo vessel that has collided with a Filipino fishing boat in Occidental Mindoro are not allowed to leave the Philippines while the case filed against them is ongoing. The crew has been charged with reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide and damage to property.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ensures that it is strictly monitoring the legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the seaborne patrol operations of the PCG searching for the missing Filipinos are still ongoing. – Report from Cleizl Pardilla
