PNP expedites destruction of drug evidences

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is expediting the destruction of confiscated illegal drugs in police operations.

According to PNP Chief Police General Archie Gamboa, more than two tons of illegal drugs are in custody of the PNP Crime Laboratory.

The PNP Chief is scheduled to meet with the two judges holding the cases on the said contrabands to discuss the process. Destroying the confiscated drugs will help ease the worry of the public that the PNP might be “recycling” them.

“Of course, again to plead to them to schedule right away the inspection and then issue the order to destroy so that after that then we will be able to destroy these evidences. Hopefully we will be able to do this in a week or 2.”
