Manila launches 2nd walk-in testing site

The City of Manila has launched on Thursday its second walk-in COVID-19 testing site at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center in Del Pan Street, Tondo. The services of the said testing site is free for Manilans and residents of nearby cities. It can accept up to 400 tests per day.

Only a valid ID is required to proceed with the testing. The actual testing will take two minutes and it is on first come, first served basis. The site uses Serology COVID-19 testing that has a higher specificity and sensitivity than the rapid test.

The walk-in testing at the Hospital of Sampaloc with 150 testing capacity per day was initially launched. The upcoming drive-thru and walk-in testing site at the Justice Jose Abad Santos General hospital in Binondo is expected to open soon.
