IATF OKs full operations of ‘partner’ financial service providers for SAP payout

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has issued a new directive to ensure the unhampered distribution of the second tranche of the social amelioration program (SAP) in areas under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

Under IATF Resolution No. 61, the request of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to allow the full operations of “partner financial service providers” has been approved.

“Kaugnay nito, ang lahat ng mga empleyado ng mga nasabing financial service-providers ay pinapayagang gumalaw, umikot o bumiyahe para magampanan ang kanilang tungkulin (In relation to this, full mobility is allowed for employees of these providers to perform their duties),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque stated.

The Resolution added that SAP beneficiaries “not otherwise restricted shall be allowed limited movement to avail of and receive such benefits.”

Malacañang earlier said it is expecting the completion of the SAP distribution this month.
