DTI asks DOH to implement an SRP for face shields

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has asked the Department of Health (DOH) to implement a suggested retail price for face shields.

According to DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, he is coordinating with the DOH for the possible SRP of the said protective gear.

The price of the face shield has increased after it has been declared mandatory to be worn in public transportation starting August 15. The wholesale price of the face shield is around Php 40 from Php 18 while its retail price has increased to Php 50. – PTV News
