DepEd: Official opening of classes moved to October 5

The official opening of classes in public schools has been moved to October 5.

Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Leonor Briones made the announcement following the order issued by President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

In a memorandum released by the Office of the President, the Chief Executive directed the education department to use the given time to continue and improve on the preparation for classes.

Sec. Briones has already given an order to teachers regarding the matter.
