Ospital ng Tondo on temporary shutdown after 32 health workers test positive for COVID-19

The Manila City government has temporarily closed the Ospital ng Tondo effective Friday, August 14, after 32 health workers have tested positive for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, the temporary shutdown will be for 10 days to give way for sanitation of facilities and for the medical staff to have a “breather” since they have been managing plenty of patients.

The Manila government has assured that the patients confined in the hospital will be taken care of as well as the personnel who have acquired the disease. The hospital will only receive emergency cases due to the temporary closure.
