Government ensures programs for youth professionals – Palace

Malacañang on Thursday assured that the government has sufficient programs to support the youth sector as the country faces challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

And like I said, we encourage displaced workers to borrow capital to start their own business),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque pointed out.

In terms of retraining and reschooling, we have the TESDA which offers many courses which are also available online),” Roque added.

Recent studies revealed that many young professionals have been affected by the health crisis due to the “last in, first out” policy of companies that resort to retrenchment. It has also been reported that the work experience of the youth sector is not very extensive.
