Palace extends greeting to new Japan PM

The Philippines has ensured strengthened bilateral cooperation with Japan as new Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga takes over.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has extended his greetings to the new leader in his press briefing Thursday. He expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two countries will remain.

“The Philippines considers Japan as a close friend, a friend closer than a brother. We are committed to do everything to make this ties strength to greater strength. Congratulations po sa bagong (to the new) prime minister [of] Japan.” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
