Casualties reach 16 in Typhoon ‘Quinta’ aftermath


The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) recently reported 16 casualties, 22 injured, and 4 missing due to the onslaught of Typhoon “Quinta”.

In the NDRRMC’s recent data, a total of 29,528 houses were damaged, 2,315 of which were “totally damaged” and 27,213 were “partially damaged.”

Typhoon “Quinta” has affected P30,860,000 worth of infrastructure including 18 buildings such as schools, churches, and other structures. P705,221,205 worth of agricultural goods was damaged in Regions 1,3, 5, 6, CALABARZON, and MIMAROPA.

It has also been reported that a total of 57,742 families or more than 200,000 individuals have been gravely affected by Typhoon “Quinta”. – Report from Bea Bernardo
