LTFRB opens 4 more routes in Metro Manila

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) will open 4 more routes in Metro Manila on Friday, October 30.

According to the LTFRB, 507 traditional jeepneys will be allowed to take the Parang-Recto, Parang-Stop and Shop via Aurora Boulevard, SSS Village via Aurora Boulevard, España Boulevard, and Libertan-Pinagbarilan routes.

However, the agency reminds that only road-worthy traditional jeepneys with valid certificate of public convenience and application for extension of validity are allowed to travel. Operators will also be given printed QR codes to be mounted on their jeepneys.

The LTFRB also reiterated abiding by the “7 commandments on public transportation” which include wearing of face mask and face shield, no talking, no eating, proper ventilation of the PUV, regular disinfection of the PUV, rejecting passengers with COVID-19 symptoms, and always follow the “one-seat-apart” rule. – PTV News
