Globe official statement on Typhoon Rolly

We are one with the Filipinos in praying for the safety and recovery of those who were affected by super typhoon Rolly. Rest assured we are doing our best to ensure that connectivity is stable and restored in the soonest possible time, while taking into utmost consideration the safety of our technical teams.

Majority of our outages were caused by power interruption due to the impact of typhoon Rolly. As of today, the following is our update on our services for Globe Prepaid, Globe Postpaid, TM, Globe Business and Globe myBusiness, and Globe at Home customers:

In NCR internet/data services are available while restoration operations are ongoing to bring back full call and text messages for select areas. In Camarines Norte, texts, calls, mobile and data/internet services are fully restored. In Samar and Western Samar, text and calls are fully restored, with difficulty in data service for select areas. In Bicol, Camarines Sur and Albay, our customers will have difficulty in services as more than 90% of its wireless coverage are still down due to power failure.

Globe is likewise preparing relief operations in highly affected areas. We have targeted an initial 3,200 families in Bicol Region to receive food packs, with the help of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. and Rise Against Hunger Philippines Inc.

We are on standby to deploy our Jeepney WiFi to handle Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng WiFi services, as soon as we are able.

We will continue to monitor the situation on-ground and provide updates on our services. We thank you for your patience and understanding. Stay safe!
