DOTr suspends public transportation


The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced the suspension of operations of several public transportation Thursday, November 12 due to Typhoon #UlyssesPH.

The suspension included the MRT-3, LRT-1, LRT-2, and PNR. The EDSA Busway closed its morning operations and resumed at 1:00 PM.
The DOTr also declared the suspension of flight operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from midnight until 6:00 AM of November 12.

In relation with this, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque also disclosed that the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) declared a “no sail” policy in 24 provinces for all types of vessels as of November 11, 8:00 PM. 40 ports have also suspended operations as of November 11, 9:30 PM. – Report from Karen Villanda
