3 BIFF fighters lay down arms

Police authorities in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, on Monday accepted the formal surrender of three militant fighters of the extremist ISIS-inspired Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighter.

The three BIFF members, namely, NORHAN SANOY aka Nor; HAYRODIN MOHAMAD aka Pikot, and MAGTANGGOL GUIAD aka Giyad turned over three Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG) launchers with three RPG projectiles during formal surrender rites at the Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PROBAR) Headquarters in Camp Brig Gen Salipada K Pendatun in Parang, Maguindanao on Monday.

The three rebel returnees were under the command of Gantang Sanoy aka Commander Cosme of the BIFF faction under Kagui Karialan, according to PNP Spokesperson, Police Brig Gen Ildebrandi Usana.

Usana said PROBAR will assist them in applying for government benefits under the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
