Toll operators sign RFID interoperability agreement

Toll operators signed an agreement to test the interoperability system in the radio frequency identification (RFID) cashless toll payments on Friday, December 4.

Following the agreement, the operators will attempt to use both Autosweep and EasyTrip RFID at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX), and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX).

The test will include 45 vehicles and will last for 14 days to ensure the read rate percentage in using the interoperability system. This is part of the Department of Transportation’s campaign for the continuous travel of motorists through cashless transaction. – Report from Karen Villanda
