OCTA Research Group: Lessen mobility this holiday season

The OCTA Research Group believes that the closing of Philippine boarders is timely to prevent the further spread especially of the new Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) strain.

According to OCTA Research Group Dr. Butch Ong, the mobility of the public must also be lessened since it is a major factor of transmission. Limiting get-togethers with immediate family members this holiday season will also be a big help in prevention.

The group reiterated following the minimum health protocols such as wearing of face masks, face shields, washing of hands, and physical distancing.

Local government units (LGUs) are advised as well to be stricter in the implementation of the protocols under their jurisdiction. – Report from Kenneth Paciente
