DOH prepares for vaccination points in PH

The Department of Health (DOH) is now preparing 4,512 fixed vaccination points in the country.

According to DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III, 100 individuals per day is the target number to be vaccinated against the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) by each team. One vaccination team consists of 6 healthcare workers composed of a physician, nurse or midwife who will manage the screening and assessment, an allied professional or volunteer for health education, a doctor or nurse for vaccination, and 2 healthcare workers from partner agencies to document the vaccination.

The vaccination process includes the registration, pre-vaccination education, and counseling. All individuals who are going to be vaccinated will also undergo screening and medical history review vaccination, and will also be given an immunization card. After the vaccination, health workers will remain for post vaccination monitoring and surveillance. –PTV News
