Authorities arrested 5 individuals including 4 cops in an operation in a clandestine shabu laboratory located at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Spokesperson Police Brigadier General Ildebrandi Usana named the 4 police officers as Police Lieutenant Reynato Basa Jr., Police Corporals Gino dela Cruz, Edesyr Victor Alipio, and Godfrey Duclayan Parentela.
The officers are allegedly protectors of drug suspect Jericho Dabu. All of them were arrested.
PNP Chief Police General Debold Sinas ordered to put the cops under restrictive custody. They will also be charged with a criminal and administrative case.
