It’s official, Joe Biden is 46th US President

Joseph “Joe” Biden Jr. has officially taken his oath as the 46th President of the United States of America at the US Capitol in Washington, D.C.

In his speech, the new American President declared that democracy prevailed in the country.

“The will of the people has been heard, and the will of the people has been heeded. We’ve learned again that democracy is precious and democracy is fragile. At this hour, my friends, democracy has prevailed… This is America’s day. This is democracy’s day. A day in history and hope, of renewal and resolve.”

US President Biden also stated that unity is the key to the growth of America and called for harmony during times of crisis. He vowed that he will take care and protect the US Constitution amidst the division caused by politics, the decline of the economy, and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Biden disclosed that among his priorities are providing benefits to those who lost their jobs, mandatory wearing of face masks in federal property, and junking the travel ban in several Muslim countries.

Joe Biden is the oldest US President at 78 years old. He has served as Senator for 36 years and Vice President for 8 years.
