The Palace announced the inclusion of the Czech Republic in the list of countries with travel restrictions to prevent the entry of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) UK Variant.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque shared that foreign passengers coming from or who have been to the Czech Republic are prohibited to enter the Philippines starting January 28 until January 31.
Passengers who are allowed to enter the Philippines must undergo RT-PCR test upon arrival and then another on the fifth day of quarantine.
“They have to be quarantined until the result of a subsequent RT-PCR test is released. The test is administered on the fifth day of the quarantine. Those who test negative from both RT-PCR tests will be endorsed to their respective local government units, which will strictly monitor the remainder of their 14-day quarantine,” Roque added.
There are currently more than 30 countries covered by the inbound travel restriction to the Philippines. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
