33 people who were rushed to the Tondo Medical Center were discharged after reportedly being in stable condition. They were advised to observe symptoms and delayed reaction to ammonia and may return to the hospital anytime.
Dr. Maricel Castillo, Senior House Officer of the Navotas City Hospital, warned that unattended symptoms from exposure may cause complications such as blindness, drying of throat, and eventual difficulty in breathing.
In a text message, Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco said the owner of the cold storage will shoulder expenses of the victims of the chemical leak.
