House Speaker Velasco bids for a more effective ‘unified contact tracing protocol’

House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco pushes for a more effective “unified contact tracing protocol” together with an appeal to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) to strengthen the contact tracing ratio in the country.

Based on data in hand, Speaker Velasco, claims only 7 contacts per patient are identified under the current system. He further points out the current ratio is lower than the ideal proportion of 1:37 in urban areas and 1:30 in rural communities.

In his filed resolution, Velasco asserts the importance of an effective and safe contact tracing system since it will greatly help in reducing the number of viral cases in the country. – PTV News
