Aside from the imposition of the liquor ban by the local government of Malabon from March 15 to April 3, the city will also temporarily suspend the operations of swimming pools, resorts, gyms and internet shops. The Malabon local government explained that these places could be a source of the virus transmission.
The move is part of the stricter implementation of health protocols in the city against COVID-19.
Malabon is also strictly implementing the unified curfew hours from 10 PM to 5 AM except for Authorized Person Outside of Residence (APOR).
Small retail stores such or sari-sari (variety) stores shall be closed within the said period of time. Only delivery services will be allowed for 24-hour food stores.
The corresponding penalty will be ₱1,000; ₱2,000 and ₱5,000 for the first, second and third offense respectively.
