Senate imposes lockdown and strict measures

All offices at the Senate will be locked down until next week.

According to Senate President Vicente Sotto, this is part of the Upper Chamber’s precautionary measures after several employees tested positive on Monday.

Only a limited number of people shall be allowed entry within the premises including himself to perform his duties as Senate President at the plenary before the Senate takes a break.

This is in keeping with the Senate’s promise to approve on second reading local and franchise bills today. – Eunice Samonte
