PNP Chief Sinas in good shape but still in isolation due to COVID-19

A week after being tested positive for COVID-19, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen. Debold Sinas is in good condition.

The PNP confirmed on March 11 that its top cop was infected by the virus.

“Alive and kicking pa rin ‘ho. Hindi pa siya nagkakaroon ng kahit ano pa mang kakaibang pakiramdam sa katawan niya po (He is still alive and kicking. He still not showing any bodily symptoms),” PNP Spokesperson PBGen. Ildebrandi Usana reported during an online forum.

The PNP spokesperson said that Sinas is staying in isolation at the Kiangan quarantine facility in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Since the isolation of Sinas, deputy chief for administration PLtGen. Guillermo Eleazar has been designated as PNP officer-in-charge.

Meanwhile, Usana again denied that the PNP Chief has already been inoculated with the COVID-19 vaccine.

Former special envoy to China and columnist Ramon Tulfo claimed that Sinas received jabs from Sinopharm last November along with him.

“According to him, hindi pa po siya nagpa-bakuna. Kung mayroon mang pagpapa-bakuna na nangyari sa kanya base sa claim ni Mr. Ramon Tulfo, sana hindi nga raw po siya na-infect ng virus (According to him, he has not been vaccinated. If he got the shot as claimed by Ramon Tulfo, he would not have been infected by the virus),” Usana added. -Patrick de Jesus
