Starting today, March 20, 37 areas of 19 Barangays in Pasig City will be placed under Granular Lockdown until April 1, 2021, due to their rising COVID-19 cases.
One of them is Barangay Pinagbuhatan, with 93 cases, currently the highest number of active cases among the barangays in the city.
Barangay Captain Marivic Asilo-Vivero said five areas in her barangay are currently placed under lockdown, so stringent measures will be implemented.
She added that personnel will be deployed 24/7, ensuring that nobody except authorized persons outside of residence (APORs) are permitted outside. No visitors shall be allowed to enter lockdown areas.
The barangay and LGU are set to distribute food packs to affected residents.
