1,921 of 3,251 pass March 2021 MedTech licensure exam

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday evening announced 1,921 out of 3,251 passed the March 2021 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination.

The examination was conducted in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pangasinan, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga amid the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic.

Felix Jayson Vegella of Virgen Milagrosa University Foundation in Pangasinan, topped the exam with a 91 percent rating, followed by Rocelle Anne Leonardo of Far Eastern University-Manila and Clarice Anne Medrano of Emilio Aguinaldo College-Manila sharing a score of 88.30 percent.

Saint Louis University in Baguio City was named the top performing school in the exam with 98.01 percent passing rate after 246 of 251 examinees passed. This was followed by Adventist University of the Philippines in Cavite with 96.55 percent rating and Velez College in Cebu City with 93.06 percent.

University of Baguio placed fourth with 90.37 percent, Southwestern University in Cebu City placed fifth with 84.91 percent, and FEU-Manila took the sixth spot with 83.08 percent.

The results were released by the PRC five days from the last day of exams.
