2 Chinese nationals were arrested in Pasay City for possession of illegal drugs and a handgun as well as violating curfew hours.

The suspects were identified as Li Yanchi (25 years-old) and Sun Shihao (26 years-old).

According to Pasay City Police Station, patrolling officers from Sub-Station 10 found Li and Sun along Sunrise Drive at the Mall of Asia Complex acting suspiciously around 1:30AM.

Despite the attempts of the suspects to avoid them, they were stopped and searched. The police found three small heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 6.5 grams valued at ₱44,200, two pieces of improvised tube believed to be used for pot session, and a 9mm pistol with a loaded magazine.

The Chinese nationals identified themselves as employees working in a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) firm. The Pasay Police admitted difficulty in conducting a possible follow-up because the suspects could not speak in English.

Li and Sun will be charged with violation of Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and the city’s ordinance for curfew hours.
