Vax plan for nat’l athletes for SEA Games underway

The plan of the Philippine Olympic Committee to buy COVID-19 vaccines for athletes participating at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam is now underway.

This was confirmed by POC President Bambol Tolentino after receiving a $40,000 grant from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

“Kung sino lang may gusto, pero sa panahon ngayon even athletes mag-uunahan dahil sa spike ng covid [This is voluntary. But even athletes now are racing (for that) due to spike of COVID]. We don’t even know if Vietnam will announce if it’s mandatory,” Tolentino said. – Report from Khay Asuncion/PTV Sports/AG-jlo
