Several crew members of LCT Cebu Great Ocean, who went missing on Tuesday (April 20) after the vessel ran aground in waters off Surigao del Norte, have been rescued on Wednesday morning.
Update as of 4:00 p.m.
The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) in Surigao del Norte reported that 7 crew members have been rescued by Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police – Maritime Group (PNP – MARIG), and other citizens.
They are identified as Noli Labucay, Arjie Bacarra, Joejie Villanueva, Roger Polo, Felipe Quebuen, John Renzo Guanzon, and an unnamed sailor.
The casualty count remains at three. One of them is Norman Galon, while the other two are still unidentified.
Update as of 8:00 a.m.
Four sailors have been rescued, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of San Francisco, Surigao del Norte reported.
Update as of 7:00 a.m.
Three crew members were rescued by the Malimono Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) around 6:00 a.m..
Three casualties have been recovered.
