QC CESU asks residents who visited Angel Locsin’s community pantry to get tested

The Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) asks all residents who visited actress Angel Locsin’s community pantry to undergo free Covid-19 swab testing, especially those who have developed symptoms.

According to CESU Chief Dr. Rolando Cruz, the possibility of transmission, due to people crowding at Brgy. Holy Spirit last Friday (April 23) for pantry goods, must not be taken lightly. He said it is best to get tested to ensure the protection of their families and communities.

Meanwhile, the CESU also requested Locsin and her team “to coordinate and work closely with the city.”

“Our office will remain open for support from Ms. Locsin and her camp, considering the effort and cost of doing testing and contact tracing of those who participated in the community pantry. We hope to be furnished with any pertinent information that could aid us in immediately identifying, testing, and isolating suspected Covid 19 cases.”

QC Mayor Joy Belmonte also appealed to the actress to cooperate with the city’s strides in detecting any possible transmission of Covid-19 in line with the incident.

The affected residents may book an appointment online for testing at http://bit.ly/QCfreetest.
