1.8-M COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in PH

The Philippines has administered a total of 1,809,801 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in 3,415 vaccination sites across 17 regions in the country as of April 27 evening. 

At least 88% or 1,562,815 doses of the 1,780,400 allocated first doses have already been used, while 14% or 246,986 doses of the 1,780,400 allocated second doses have already been administered.

Based on reports of the Department of Health (DOH) and the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19, 86% of the available doses have been distributed or 3,025,600 out of 3,525,600.

The report also shows that the country has vaccinated an average of 35,320 individuals per day.

At least 88.6% or 609,710 first doses and 11.9% or 82,041 second doses have been administered out of the allocated 688,385 doses for each dose coverage in the National Capital Region (NCR). The region received the highest portion of vaccines with 1,221,870 doses.

This was followed by Region IV-A which has so far received 307,260 doses. Around 81.9% or 157,286 first doses and 4.6% or 8,885 second doses have been administered out of the 192,030 doses allotted for the coverage of both doses. 

The government is currently vaccinating individuals under Priority List A1, A2, and A3 with AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and with Sinovac Biotech-developed CoronaVac.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) on April 28 approved the request of the labor department to use 5,000 doses for the symbolic inoculation of minimum wage workers and overseas Filipino workers.

This will signal the beginning of vaccination for Priority List A4 which includes frontline economic and essential workers. -DOH/AG-jlo
