DOLE reaches target number of beneficiaries for COVID-19 measures program

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) closed the online applications for the COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) for the tourism sector on Monday, May 10, as it has reached the number of target beneficiaries.

CAMP, a one-time financial support for affected workers whose companies have implemented flexible work arrangement or temporary closure, has given P5,000 to each of 520,000 beneficiaries.

In an advisory, Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III said the department is currently evaluating and processing payment of pending applications for CAMP.

As of the moment, the DOLE has released at least P2.6 billion to fund the program. – (DOLE) CF-jlo
