PRC, itinanggi ang pagbebenta ng COVID-19 vaccine sa publiko

Itinanggi ng Philippine Red Cross (PRC) noong Lunes (Mayo 17) ang napapabalitang magbebenta raw ito ng bakuna laban sa COVID-19.

Sa isang pahayag, nilinaw ni PRC Governor Ma. Carissa Coscolluela na hindi kailanman inanunsyo ni PRC Chairperson Richard Gordon na magbebenta ang organisasyon ng mga bakuna sa publiko.

“What he said was that the PRC procured Moderna COVID-19 vaccines and intends to vaccinate Red Cross members and donors, who are also our members, who are willing to bear the cost of the vaccines,” saad ni Coscolluela.

Nagkakahalaga ng US$26.83 kada bakuna o humigit kumulang ₱3,500 sa dalawang dose ang bakuna at  administration fee.

Iginiit din ni Gordon na dapat bilisan ang pagkilos upang mas maraming tao ang mabakunahan.

Dagdag pa ni Coscolluela, ang PRC ay isang humanitarian organization at wala silang kinalaman sa pagbebenta ng bakuna. – Ulat ni Alvin Barcelona / CF-jlo
