Eight-Division World Champion Manny Pacquiao announced in his social media account his next opponent in Unified World Boxing Council and International Boxing Federation Welterweight Champion Errol Spence Jr.
The bout is slated to be held on August 21 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
This will be the first fight of ‘Pambansang Kamao’ or The National Fist in almost two years after his last match with Keith Thurman via split decision in July 2019.
In an interview with PTV Sports, Fight Analyst Attorney Ed Tolentino hinted that the upcoming bout will be a big one for World Boxing Association Welterweight Champion in Recess Pacquiao.
Tolentino also disclosed the highlights to watch out for in the clash between the 42-year-old Pacquiao and 31-year-old American boxer Spence.
The two pugilists’ face-off is in contrast to the earlier statement of Pacquiao’s business manager Arnold Vegafria who announced that Mikey Garcia would be the Filipino Champ’s next opponent.
But Tolentino predicted that the match against Spence is better than that of Garcia.
Pacquiao currently holds a 62-7-2 win-loss-draw record, 39 of which ended via knockout…
Spence, on the other hand, has a clean 27-0 win-loss slate with 21 knockouts. – Report from Paolo Salamatin/JBB-rir
