COVID-19 jabs safe for pregnant, lactating women

Pregnant and lactating women can receive COVID-19 vaccines with precaution, according to studies.

The National Institutes of Health said that COVID-19 mRNA vaccines are safe and effective in pregnancy, with the potential to benefit both mother and baby.

Currently, there are two mRNA vaccine brands that are approved for their consumption – Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.

The Department of Health (DOH) recommended the vaccination of pregnant women who are healthcare workers under the A4 priority group.

COVID-19 mRNA vaccines give instructions for our cells to make a harmless piece of what is called a “spike protein.” The spike protein is found on the surface of the virus that causes COVID-19. – Report from Sweeden Velado-Ramirez / CF -rir
