QC to launch gov’t-assisted online vax registration

By Christine Fabro

A local government-assisted online registration and scheduling system will be launched for Quezon City residents this coming week.

This is in response to the system glitches that transpired on the city’s online vaccine registration portal via eZConsult and barangay-assisted booking.

The Quezon City local government unit (LGU) imposed an ultimatum on Zuellig Pharma Corporation’s eZConsult to upgrade their server capacity and address the reported issues by June 18.

Quezon City LGU said on June 19 that eZConsult had succeeded in fixing its system. The LGU will assess the improvements once another round of online booking has been scheduled.

“We continue to ask our QCitizens for patience and understanding even as we introduce different modes to register or book, due to the dependence of the local government on vaccines allocated by the national government at the moment,” the QC LGU said in a statement.
