Some evacuees get vaccinated in Batangas to prevent COVID-19 spread

A ceremonial vaccination for some evacuees in Agoncillo, Batangas was held on Monday (July 5), to counter the threat of getting infected with COVID-19 in evacuation centers due to the Taal volcano unrest.

The Department of Health (DOH) inoculated some 40 evacuees in Plaza Elena Evacuation Center in Agoncillo, Batangas with COVID-19 vaccines on Monday, to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among the evacuees.

 

 

Currently, there are 1,200 families who are affected by the Taal volcano activity.

The DOH also distributed some medical supplies and medicines along with the COVID-19 vaccines. So far, the Plaza Elena evacuation center has no reported cases of COVID-19. – Report from Allan Francisco / CF- rir
