By NG Seruela

The Commission on Elections (Comelec),in partnership with Google and ad agency MullenLowe Treyna, published an informative website encouraging the public to register for the upcoming elections.

In the website, Magparehistro ka!, the Comelec found a method to encourage Filipinos of all legal ages to register as voters through the website’s accessible, comprehensive, and comical approach as drawn by content creator Chinny Basinang.

The agency used drawings of the country’s heroes as its guide in the registration steps that brought color and interest. Using both Tagalog and English as its language truly catches the attention of the young adults and makes the website easy to understand.

Unlike the traditional use of bullet points and general sentences, the site livened up engagement with readers by using puns through dialogues that will surely tickle the mind.

  2. Prepare the requirements such as face shield, mask, alcohol, ballpen, accomplished application form and health declaration form that can be found in the website, and valid IDs.
  3. Visit the OEO or the satellite registration office with the requirements to get registered.
