Sinovac doses arrive in PH

Some 1.5 million doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 at around 7:50 a.m., Thursday, July 22.

This shipment will be followed by another 1 million doses of Sinovac set to arrive tomorrow.

Last week, 2.5 million jabs of Sinovac were delivered to the Philippines.

Vaccine czar Carlito Valdez said that the 2.5 million vaccines from Sinovac will be allocated for the second dose.

Said vaccines may be administered immediately since the certificate of analysis had already been submitted, Galvez said.

Galvez added that the regions outside the National Capital Region (NCR) can expect bigger allocations in the coming weeks.

“Starting July, magkakaroon na tayo ng more or less equitable distribution,” he said during the arrival ceremony of the 2.5 million doses of Sinovac vaccines.–With reports from Karen Villanda/PG-rir
