As of Sunday (Aug. 15), the National Capital Region has distributed 29.31% or has given 3,299,290 Filipinos financial aid, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said on Monday (Aug. 16).
According to a presentation shown in a Malacañang public briefing, Makati is in the lead in the distribution of ayuda with a distribution rate of 51.48% or giving aid to 266,346 individuals.
Following Makati are Taguig who has given financial aid to 410,468 individuals with a distribution rate of 50.94%, Caloocan with 604,220 persons or 45.00%, Marikina with 138,340 persons or 36.02%, and Pateros with 18,468 persons or 35.23%.
Quezon city has given financial aid to 651,628 individuals at a rate of 26.25% and Manila has given 419,332 persons ayuda or 27.53%.
Meanwhile, Roque once again encouraged Filipinos to follow health care protocols, and to observe the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate (PDITR) strategy.
“Patuloy naman po tayo sa ating prevention, detection, isolation, at treatment. Wala po talagang ibang alternatibo kung hindi ang ating PDITR. Kailangan mask, hugas, iwas, at bakuna. Kahit ano mang variant ‘yan, pareho ang ating magiging response,” he said.
When asked about the possible extension of ECQ and the additional distribution of ayuda in case it happens, Roque assured that there will be no ECQ without ayuda.
“All I can say is, walang ECQ kung walang ayuda. Kung wala na pong available, hahanap at hahanap tayo,” he said. -rir
