DepEd opens remote enrollment for SY 2021-2022

By Christine Fabro

Enrollment for the school year 2021-2022 for kindergarten to Grade 12 public schools officially opened on Monday (Aug. 16).

The Department of Education (DepEd) announced in a Facebook post said remote enrollment will be implemented for public schools within areas that are currently placed under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) and modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

The remote enrollment covers kindergarten, elementary (Grade 1 to 6), Junior High School (Grade 7 to 10), and Senior High School (Grade 11 to 12).

For schools within lower risk areas for COVID-19, parents/guardians are advised to submit their children’s enrollment forms to Modified Learner Enrollment and Survey Form (MLESF).

MLESF, first introduced last year, can be conducted via phone call, text or SMS, social media, and online.

The enrollment period is set from Aug. 16 to Sept. 13. -rir
