“Ang current status namin, the total number of individuals vaccinated is 315,276.”

With this, the city is now the second to have a high vaccination rate in Metro Manila, with San Juan as the first. Teodoro said they are open to vaccinating residents from Rizal and other nearby areas as they come close to reaching the 100% vaccination rate.

The Marikina mayor disclosed the city has 75 vaccination teams composed of local government units (LGU) and barangay health personnel, non-health personnel, and volunteer health workers.

“The head of the vaccination schedule is a volunteer of the city,” he added.

The city has 6 mega vaccination facilities that are capable of vaccinating from 2,000 to 5,000 daily, totaling 15,000 jabs per day.

“We’re very happy that the supply of the vaccine now is not only steady, but we have a very adequate supply of the vaccine,” he said.

He bared that the city’s vaccination system is organized since no walk-ins are allowed. Only those who registered online will be able to receive the vaccine. He mentioned that they also vaccinate students and individuals working in their city who are residents of other LGUs.
